Holiday Auto Rentals Limited has an immediate opening for a Dealership Manager.
Holiday Auto consist of Volkswagen and Chery Automotive dealerships for the Bahamas and also Dollar rent a Car and Thrifty Car Rental located in both Nassau and Freeport Bahamas.
At Holiday Auto every sale, service or rental is an opportunity to demonstrate the superior value of this brand. Holiday Auto professionals must excel in listening, communicating and working efficiently to Volkswagen standards.
This is a small dealership in a country with just over three hundred thousand persons.
Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for operating and managing the dealership. Oversees the operation of all departments and maintains a high level of integrity in all areas of operations. Hires, trains, and motivates store management staff. Maintains a high level of customer and employee satisfaction, in a positive and safe environment.
Job Responsibilities:
People Management
· Build management team that demonstrates a high degree of teamwork and makes decisions that are focused on customer needs and the good of the dealership
· Establish goals and metrics for each department and department managers; ensure that managers do the same for their associates
· Provide on-going performance feedback and coaching to department heads on a daily/weekly basis
· Ensure that employees receive the training, development and coaching needed to improve their performance and advance within the organization
· Create a work environment that improves employee satisfaction and loyalty
Store Performance Management
· Establish and communicate a clear vision/direction for the dealership and ensure that the appropriate steps are taken to achieve that vision
· Develop and execute a business plan for the store as well as each of the departments
· Manage and monitor day-to-day operations and take actions necessary to ensure that established performance goals and metrics are met or exceeded
· Focus staff on finding actions, processes or procedures that will increase sales, reduce expenses and improve customer satisfaction
· Manage and safeguard the store’s assets, including receivables, new car, and parts inventories
· Develop and maintain a healthy relationship with the manufacturer.
Customer Service Management
· Ensure that processes are in place to measure, maintain and improve customer service – both in sales and service
· Ensure that everyone in the dealership understands the experience that customers have and how they can make future experiences the best possible
· Use CSI and customer feedback to determine specific opportunities for improvement and ensure that any necessary action is taken.

Qualifications:
Must meet company’s requirements for employment
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
At least three years in automotive service or leadership position.
Professional personal appearance
Excellent communication skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Exposure to inclement weather
Ability to operate an automobile
Prolonged periods of standing
Normal office and workshop environment.
Microsoft Office mainly
Word and Excel or willingness to learn.
Past experience with Volkswagen service department a plus but not necessary. |
