Front desk agent is in charge of checking guests in and out of the hotel, answering phones(multiline switchboard)and making or canceling reservations. Front desk agent also oversees activity of all other departments during the shift (housekeeping and maintenance) and ensures that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. May include light housekeeping.
Job Requirements:
Front desk agent is key to the guests first impression of the hotel, both by phone and in person. Therefore, the ideal applicant is very personable with a clear speaking voice. Previous hotel experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of office equipment (microsoft office, switchboard phones, fax) a plus. Also includes cash handling, sales, customer service.
