Primary Objectives & Functions
The role holder shall perform the preventative and corrective maintenance activities of the HF Radio within their designated area for sites within the scope of services for the Region. The role holder shall perform route cause analysis for all incidents under their responsibility including recommendations and implementation for any follow-on activities borne out of the incident.
Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities:
1. To perform the corrective and preventative maintenance of all HF Radio transmitting and receiving equipment to the Client’s standards.
2. To submit an MSO and fault report for all assigned incidents.
3. To perform On the Job Training of the Client’s Technicians assigned to the section.
4. To assist in the installation of system enhancements as required.
5. To be conversant with the Clients procedures applicable to the section.
6. To carry out any other ancillary tasks related to the main job function as delegated by the HF Team Leader.
7. To be prepared to serve at other Client locations as and when required.
8. To be prepared to be called out at any time night or day to attend to faults as required.

Recruitment Specification (knowledge & Experience):
1. A recognized post secondary education qualification and apprenticeship in the telecommunications field.
2. At least 3 years general engineering or military experience in a relevant discipline.
3. Must have driving license from country of origin. |
