Our client is seeking an experienced CEO to set up and oversee the development of an exciting new hospital project in Tbilisi, Georgia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting a new adventure and challenge.
In the role you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Leadership/management
• Ensure the business success of the hospital, including the preparation of the budgets and cash flows, and the action plans necessary to achieve them
• Ensure, through a collaborative process, the annual production of a rolling three year Business Plan that includes strategies that keep the hospital at a leading competitive edge
• Develop the hospital’s reputation as a medical Centre of Excellence
• Ensure the proper application of corporate and clinical governance standards
• Ensure the highest quality of services in all areas
• Provide leadership to the hospital staff, through personal example, in respect of the culture of management and service
• Lead the Change Programme across the hospital ensuring measurable success
• Lead the hospital to achieve and maintain external accreditation
Operational
• Ensure an effective Organisation Structure is in place, which together with associated Authority Matrix, provides clear authority and responsibility to managers
• Ensure an efficient committee structure is in place with the outcome of meetings recorded and follow up of agreed actions occurring
• Ensure the hospital performs in the most efficient and effective manner while ensuring the correct balance between quality and efficiency is achieved without compromising either and the reputation of the hospital
• Agree performance targets for all managers/departments and ensure their regular review and achievement
• Ensure departmental budgets are set and monthly review of performance occurs with action taken to remedy any shortfalls
• Ensure there is full and proactive communication between management and staff at all levels
• Ensure there are active cost management programmes in place across the hospital
• Authorise all intended expenditures within the approved annual budget
• Continue to ensure that no corrupt practices occur within the hospital
Quality
• Ensure a process of continual improvement is established and works effectively
• Ensure the policies, plans, and procedures for patient and staff safety are prepared and implemented
• Ensure a quality ethos and culture is developed across the hospital, including personal leadership of the programme
• Ensure the hospital remains ahead of its competitors in respect of its quality of service • Ensure the successful external (international or Georgian) accreditation of the hospital within 2 years
Marketing/External Relations
• Ensure a Marketing Strategy and annual Marketing plans are in place
• With team help, develop a negotiating strategy to ensure a proactive relationship and effective annual negotiations with insurance companies and other third party payors.
• Ensure the regular review of the effectiveness of marketing activities.
• Represent the hospital on external bodies and towards potential clients and the community.
Human Resources
• Build an effective and motivated management team based on the principles of participative management
• Ensure staff development programmes occur
• Ensure all HR practices are consistent with the required culture of the hospitals.
To apply you will have experience working as a CEO of a hospital or healthcare group. Any formal qualifications are desired but not essential.
You will also possess excellent communication skills and management ability with a proven track record within the health sector.
