Pattern Maker
We are looking for an In-House Pattern and Sample Maker to join our growing company. This position will work collaboratively with Design and Product Development to construct first run sample garments for photo shoots and production and trade shows.
Requirements: •
• Between 5 to 10 years experience in Garment Pattern Making for luxury ladies wear which give extensive knowledge of garment construction.
• Sewing experience using industrial machines including single needle, serger, coverstitch, and binding machines.
• Ability to work alone to solve construction problems as well as able to work as a member of the team
• Must be able to work under pressure and time limits.
• Must be able to speak conversational English and read technical instructions written in English.
• Able to operate with RichPeace system
• Experience in using computer specification package (PDM)
Responsibilities:
• Must be able to make designer’s vision a reality by realizing:
- pattern making, size grading & marker planning,
- Cutting pattern and fabric
- Product development
• Produce a first run garment from drawings or limited instructions while maintaining company’s high quality standards.
• Determine the best order of garment construction for production.
• Suggest production specific requirements.
• Make suggestions that would reduce garment production time.
• Maintain accurate records of construction to assist with specifications prior to going to production.
• Identify any cutting concerns with fabric such as stretch, fraying, or other problems that could arise.
