ShoreBank International Ltd. is seeking French-speaking SME Credit Specialists for long-term consulting assignments in Francophone West Africa. Projects will focus on expansion of SME lending activities and operational efficiency enhancements in partnership with local commercial and development banks.
Responsibilities may include:
„X Working with partner financial institution¡¦s management, credit and marketing staff to develop loan products and marketing strategies for targeting SMEs;
„X Organizing and implementing training and mentoring programs for bank staff in the use of small business lending methodologies and marketing tactics;
„X Developing and implementing business process improvements and systems for more efficient lending processes and effective loan portfolio management;
„X Direct management of SME lending documents, with an emphasis on mentoring and coaching skills for effective knowledge transfer;
„X Portfolio management, including growth strategies, work-outs and ALM;
„X Financial product design and development, including pricing methodologies;
„X Loan officer and management training, and Training-of-Trainers.

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Essential:
„X University degree in an economic or financial discipline; MBA preferred
„X Minimum 10 years (combined) experience as a commercial lender, SME finance practitioner or in a bank¡¦s credit department
„X Ability to design and implement finance programs for SMEs
„X Ability to assess financial institutions¡¦ capacity building needs Experience living and working in Sub-Saharan Africa
„X Professional-level fluency in French
„X Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, with credibility to work with senior executives at client banks Strong project management skills
„X Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
„X Energetic self-starter and team player
„X Flexible with respect to time and travel requirements
Highly valued:
„X Specialization in any of the following:
o new product development and savings products
o loan process streamlining, including credit scoring technologies; risk management for financial institutions, including corporate governance Product Development for SME banking
„X Experience with MIS and IT for banking applications
„X Curriculum development and training experience
