Job Description
SICU Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant needed for a Regional Trauma Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA. The NP/PA is a member of the surgical intensive care team and has as his/her primary responsibility the management of surgical patients in the ICU. There are 5 board certified Trauma/Surgical Intensivists who comprise the attending staff. The mixed medical/surgical ICU has 38 beds, and supports a 400+ bed large regional medical center with Level II Trauma designation. In addition to the primary responsibilities, the NP/PA will also assist in the management of patients admitted to the Trauma and Acute Care Service, which includes both trauma and emergency General Surgery patients. Clinic follow-up is included. Some surgical bedside procedures will be included in the scope of practice and the NP/PA may assist in the Operating Room if he/she wishes.

•Proficient leadership skills
