Storage Architect
Key Responsibilities:
• Production of Operational guides for product and software handover to BAU teams.
• Ensuring environment is adequately documented.
• Production of Process Control Manuals for Audit and Compliance purposes.
• Working with the engineering teams on any new implementation as and when required.
• Architecting solutions based on business requirements with certified hardware and software.
• Attending New Project ‘Kick off’ meetings wherever Storage is a required stream.
• Working closely with BAU teams to ensure that Solutions provided are operationally viable.
• Working with vendors on new products, updates and VTM’s
• Second line support for BAU escalations.
• Regular reporting and escalation to the EMEA Storage Architecture and Integration Manager.

O McData Directors.
O Cisco Switches
O ECC , WLA and Storagescope
O SRDF and TimeFinder Clones
• Datacentre planning
• Infrastructure cabling – fibre and copper
• HDS Tagmastore
• Netapps filers
• Legato 7.2+
• TSM
• StorageTek(Sun)
• IBM LTO and SDLT dirves
• Decru or other Hardware and software encryption devices
• Data migration products – Softek etc
• Knowledge of one or more Open Systems operating systems i.E. Unix - Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, AIX-UX, Windows, VMS
