Client:
The EPC Contractor is one of the major Company for the supply, installation, and commissioning of instrument /control system works and will be the PMC technical counterpart for the execution of the project.
Project:
Control System Modernization Project in National Oil Refinery (Libya).
Contract duration: 16 – 18 months
Starting date: 15th October 2009
Rotation: 4 months on / 1 week off ( + 2 days for travelling)
Number of positions: 1
Location: Libya
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary contact with the PM for all Projects matters arisen in field.
- Supervise that EPC Contractor provide that Construction activities be completed in accordance with good
construction practice, in accordance with the Project Schedule, that safety prescriptions and rules are
fully applied, that all contractual obligations are fulfilled and advice the Owner.
- Together with the Field Project Control Coordinator, review and monitor the construction program and ensure that EPC Contractor prepares detail construction schedules for all areas and erection activities.
- In absence of Project Manager in field discuss with EPC Contractor all Project changes proposed and advice the Owner.
Together with Project Manager, Field Project Control Coordinator, review single progress report and construction overall progress report, budget and field construction activities in order to reach final goals.
- In absence of Project Manager in field is entitled to issue correspondence to the Owner CM under his signature for subject related to Project matters arisen in field.
- Receive and distribute to the field Discipline Engineers, under his control, information from the Owner P.M.
- Expedite from the field Engineering Coordinator and from the other people assigned under his control all the information requested for a proper supervision of Construction activities.
- Administer industrial relations and safety policies to maintain proper discipline for PMC Team.
- Conduct weekly meetings with JV Contractor and PMC field Staff in order to verify weekly progress, safety and construction aspects, availability of documents, materials, manpower, etc. by EPC Contractor.
- Ensure with EPC Contractor representatives that their activities are in accordance with the Master Project Schedule.
- Immediately advise the Owner C.M. and Project Manager of any factors adversely affecting the project.
- Coordinate as necessary with the Field Engineer Coordinator and his staff on all engineering matters.
- Coordinate with Owner/EPC Contractor Construction Managers on matters pertaining to Construction progress, etc.
- Coordinate completion of construction and testing with start-up group when applicable.
- Check that all documents, which need approval by Owner C.M. to start work, be issued.
- To get approval from Owner/PM before start modification of scope of work.
Company offers:
- Basic Working Hours: 6 days/week - 8 hours/day
- Overtime rate : to be quote separately
- All social burdens, labour costs, insurance costs, taxes and whatever Libyan laws require shall be included in the proposed rates
- All mob/demob costs, local transport costs, accommodation and living allowance costs, leave travel costs, interview costs shall be included in the proposed rates

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Previous experience in PMC and Instrumentation Control System works
Engineering diploma in field of Electronics / Control Systems
Minimum 4-5 years experience on relevant position
Excellent English communication skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools.
Good communication and analytical skills
EU citizents are prefered
