Benefits Specialist – US/Latin America – 1 year contract

Position Summary
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• U.S. Insurance Provider Vendor management via ongoing discussions/meetings to discuss issues with performance and/or to resolve any complex issues that arise.
• Communicate/provide information to external vendors relating to the U.S./Latin America Benefits plan.
• Support the benefits administration function for U.S./Latin America by providing training and assistance to the Benefits Administrator for highly complex benefits issues.
• Participate in annual benefits surveys. Provide support regarding the development and maintenance of Global Benefits Metrics.
• Manage special projects, as required (i.E. Implement new programs/countries, annual contract renewals, IRS/DOL filing, etc.)
• Compliance Requirements (IRS/DOL, Audits, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.)
• Support the Annual Open Enrollment process for U.S. Benefits plans.
• Monitor the U.S. Disability Management process and Leave of absences process
• Assist in the delivery of company-wide programs and initiatives through development of communication material, coordination of training logistics and compile training material/documentation.
• Complete monthly invoicing for U.S./Latin America benefits, initiate and support functional controls (i.E. Verification of other team member`s work)
• Ensure HRIS is maintained/up-to-date with current benefit plans/programs. Maintain the benefits database for the U.S./Latin America benefits programs/plans.
• Prepare and deliver communication & education to plan members and/or managers/OD Business Partners, etc.
• Initiate and develop process documentation and continuous improvements of RIM`s U.S./Latin America Benefits Program. Consult with RIM`s Technical Writer to ensure consistent format/content (i.E. Legislative changes/updates) of documentation.
• Draft reports and correspondence; prepares presentations to meet specific needs

| Kenntnisse erforderlich: |
Essential Skills And Qualifications
• College Diploma or University degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist or related designations preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years experience with a proven track record in benefits, attention to detail
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, and excellent computer skills (Word + Excel)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with SAP, Excel and Powerpoint is an asset
• Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task
• Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of varying cultures
