Endocrinology Private Practice - Southern California
Lancaster Community Hospital is assisting in the recruitment of a new Endocrinologist to the community of Lancaster/Palmdale, CA.
There are currently 3 Endocrinologists, a Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner in the practice. This is a 100% Endocrinology practice – no primary care or nursing home coverage. The practice has its own reference laboratory, ultrasound machines, continuous glucose monitoring devices and peripheral vascular study machines. They participate in clinical trials with pharmaceutical companies, lectures and advisory boards. The practice is scheduled to go on electronic medical records soon.
The new Endocrinologist will cover predominantly one practice location the newest office opening in the Lancaster/Palmdale area. There will be both office and hospital patients seen. Pump management and ultrasound skills are important. Call is shared in the practice. A very competitive compensation and benefits plan will be offered including a bonus plan and partnership track.
Lancaster Community Hospital (LCH) has 117-licensed acute care beds, a Heart Center, outpatient physical therapy and inpatient Acute Rehab Unit, inpatient and outpatient surgery and 24-hour emergency care. The Center for Wound Care provides comprehensive treatment for people with chronic -healing wounds including hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy. The hospital in association with Universal Health Services will open Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a new 239 bed full-service hospital in Palmdale. An accompanying medical office building is under construction.
Nearly 300 physicians are affiliated with the hospital. Centers of emphasis include: Cancer, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Acute (ARU) and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, and Wound Care Clinic.
The Antelope Valley (AV) includes the cities of Lancaster, Palmdale and outlying desert communities with a population of approximately a half million and growing. The Antelope Valley is a diverse and highly-educated community with over 50 percent of its residents having at least some college education.
The Lancaster / Palmdale area is located approximately 70 miles (112.5 km) north (by road travel) of the city of to the north.
