Software Developers -- cutting edge technology
Our client is passionate about technology, and they are looking for Software Engineers who are as passionate as they are. Their development team has been painstakingly culled from the top one percent of the programming world, and they are in search of more elite-level programmers. Their motto says it all: “we don`t want people who can code -- we want people who can think”.
Although they are located in New York (relocation assistance is available), the company has a very “Silicon Valley” feel to it. Like a Google or a Yahoo, the culture is highly creative, collaborative, and innovative. And very difficult to get into, as the hiring process is designed to filter out all but the most talented minds.
They are a rapidly growing company (currently 400 employees) that builds bleeding edge technology solutions for the education industry. They are a marketplace leader with tremendous presence, and are experiencing explosive growth.
The technical environment is open source -- Java, Ruby, Python, Linux. But don`t worry if you don`t have exposure to open source technology. What is most important is your aptitude and ability to quickly learn and assimilate anything that is new to you.
If you feel that you are a true technologist with outstanding thinking, communication and programming skills, and possess the following must-have requisites, then we want to hear from you:
· Minimum 3.5 GPA from a top Engineering School
· 1 to 5 years of total work experience
· Fluency in an OO or scripting language such as Java, C++, Ruby, Python.
· Familiarity with UNIX tools.
· Strong fundamentals (OO, Algorithms, Data structures).
The position is in New York, but relocation assistance is provided, so your current location is not an obstacle, as long as you are willing and able to relocate to the New York area.
