Job Responsibilities
1. Location: Shanghai
2. Reporting to:VP of Site Expansion China
3. Direct report(s): Nil
4. Function(s):
A) Responsible for the engineering part of the project, include necessary budget and cost spending responsibility for the respective phase of the project
B) Develop new and rework existing process to optimize the future performance of the new plant, identify risks for non-compliance, safety, environmental and social performance
C) Receive the CEMCom(rcpr1) approval and respective approvals by the chinese Authorities assuring the marked supply for the aggressive scenario with an on-site solution (as presented in the workshop and in the pre-feasibility study)
D) Develop a flexible site concept based on volume/market needs assuring at all times the aggressive scenario. Production concept should be based on high volume thought put and automatization. Make sure best practices from OPUs worldwide are taking into account.
E) Ensure critical deviations are identified, investigated and resolved. Identify and communicate risks for deficiencies observed and do propose improvement measures in an early state
F) Review and asses adequacy of corrective/preventive actions, monitor the completion of corrective/preventive actions
G) Have a mindset for continuous improvement identify and share best practice
H) Support other functions with systems and know how during the whole project phase in order to assure the transfer from the project phase into the routine production
I) Promote compliance, performing adequate training
J) Support establishing and continuously developing best practice systems in China
K) Establish and implement standard operating procedures
L) Identify risk mitigation strategies, develop pro-active measure to prevent negative consequences for by conducting risk assessments and gap analysis
Preferred Candidate Profile
1. Nationality: PRC National
2. Education: Relevant discipline in engineering with background in chemistry, pharmacy would be preferred
3. Languages: English and Mandarin
4. Age: Above 30 is preferred
5. Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment
• Expert knowledge of international standards and best practices, including but not limited to regulations regarding GMP and Good Distribution Practice for API and GDP
• In-depth knowledge of Quality/Production/Engineering Systems and related norms
• Fluent in written and spoken English
6. Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, persistence, commitment
• Leadership abilities
• Rapid learning ability, high level of energy and self-motivation
• Dispute resolution and decision making skills team player
• Organized analytical thinker attention to detail
• Inter-cultural competence
• Skillful in using office application software
