Design, develop, and maintain subsystems, user interface and drivers for embedded, set-top box (STB) receivers for cable and satellite TV.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):
Decompose tasks, define milestones, create schedules and estimate development resources for projects
Work within a development team using change control and source code management systems.
Work with test engineering and test validation groups to create test plans and procedures.
Ability to document task specifications, design concepts, and implementation/test details
Skills and Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education
Meets minimum education requirements and 4+ years experience in development of real-time software with the C language or equivalent
Additional Details:
In addition, we will give preference to candidates with the following:
Prefer experience working in an embedded development environment.
Prefer embedded device driver and multi-threaded programming experience.
Prefer embedded development experience on Linux and/or Windows 95/NT platforms. Ability to mentor others Metro Region
Paid Internship: $9 per hour + housing
Training length: 12 or18 months
