| Where is Sprint and the wireless industry headed?
Recent announcements about the Palm Pre, Boost’s monthly unlimited plan and our 4G advances give us reason to celebrate what lays ahead for Sprint.
CEO Dan Hesse says wireless is no longer a luxury – it’s a necessity. Internal data on industry trends shows how tied people are to their mobile devices: 72 percent of respondents decreased overall household spending. While watching finances closely, 83 percent still choose to own a mobile phone, and more than half say they’re inseparable from their mobile phone.
Consumers are now saving money by cutting landline phone service and switching to family and set-price mobile plans. They’re also willing to switch mobile carriers for the right amount of savings.
What does this mean for Sprint? It means more consumers are likely to eliminate their landline service and rely solely on a mobile phone in order to save money.
So where do you think we`re headed? It`s hard to forecast what the future holds for Sprint, but current trends hint where we`ll be in the near future.
