| Our organization has been named after the Rubicon River in Northern Italy which Julius Caesar crossed to establish the Roman Empire. Cesar, a young general at the time, was unhappy with the way Rome was being run. He led his army to the banks of the river Rubicon and declared his intention to change how things are run in Rome. The Roman senate sent a warning to the young general that one he crossed the Rubicon, he will not be able to turn back.
Cesar, of course, crossed the Rubicon and established one of the greatest empires of ancient history.
From the spirit of its name, Rubicon takes on its mission, dedication and perseverance to communication, education and entertainment products and services that are relevant, educational and entertaining – but ones which can leave a positive and lasting effect on our people and our societies.
At present, the Rubicon Holdings Group includes:
- Rubicon Studios, a productions house for 2D and 3D animation as well as CG and multi-media productions. Rubicon studios also provide services in conceptualizing, packaging and disseminating messages and ideas across a variety of mediums including print, television, web and handheld devices.
- Rubicon Education, which is a pioneering company in k-12 ICT enabled education services and products as well as professional development;
- Rubicon Licensing & Merchandizing deals with the Licensing and merchandizing of Rubicon Group’s own IP as well as the IP of major studios including MGM studios in LA and Sun R&P in Japan;
- Rubicon Themed Entertainment, which – in partnership with MGM studios- provides value added entertainment concepts from design, to implementation for mixed use destinations around the Middle East and North Africa Region. |
