| Aspire IT R&S Inc. was formed after Aspire IT Solutions, Inc., a joint venture between UPI Contracting Pty Ltd of Australia (UPI) and Merryland Publishing Corporation of Philippines. After the success of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) “Integra” project of Oracle, for which UPI was a subcontractor, and due to the rise in the amount of globally outsourced work being brought into the Philippines by global players like IBM, Accenture, HP and Oracle, UPI decided to take the natural next step: to incorporate its Philippine presence and aggressively offer its services in the local market. UPI’s founder (the late Mr. Geoffrey Yung) had long track records, dated back to early 1970s, of managining/deliverying and reourcing successfully projects in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines and other SE Asian countries. Since partnering with Mr. Dominicus Cheung our President, UPI Contracting was formed in 1993, moving into Manila in 2002. |
