CCS is an innovative and progressive consulting engineering and project management firm based in Nassau, Bahamas. CCS provides comprehensive coastal marine and marina engineering. CCS also provides building structural engineering design services.
In addition to providing a comprehensive set of coastal and marine engineering services, CCS provides leading edge coastal field services such as bathymetric surveys, current & wave data collection, scuba work, jet probing, sampling, beach profiling and monitoring etc. Our field services projects extend throughout the Bahamas.
Job Duties:
• Assist our coastal and marine division with setting up and executing all types of coastal field surveys
• CAD design and drafting functions for work related to the field services
• Perform general marina basin layouts and present options accordingly
• Coordinate your work with other consultants/clients on a project-by-project basis
• Liaising with clients and attending design and/or project meetings
• Liaise with local regulatory agencies in seeking project approval or guidance
• Travel from time to time to the family islands is essential
Qualifications:
• Candidate shall have completed an undergraduate program in civil, structural or coastal engineering from a reputable educational institution (ABET Accredited for US schools)
• Candidates shall be enrolled in an Engineer in Training program at a professional engineering registration board with full intentions of obtaining a PE, P.Eng. or MICE as soon as possible
• US - PE mentoring requirement will be satisfied with CCS as there are a number of professional Canadian and US engineers on our team
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or the willingness to learn and become proficient is mandatory
• Candidates should be comfortable on a boat and in the marine environment.
• SCUBA certification is an asset.
Salary:
To commensurate with experience.
