Manager – Hrms, Employee Relations & Benefits
The position is based at the Planning and Human Resources Department in Abu Dhabi and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
• Lead the development and maintenance of the HRMS employee information database
• Responsible for overall management of the Banner HR system
• Manage payroll and benefit functions for the HCT system
• Coordinate the renewal and termination of existing employee contracts
• Responsible for maintenance of Human Resources records and legal documentations
• Develop, and implement system requirements to provide HR reporting and metrics
• Provide management oversight to the HRMS department to ensure efficient and effective operation
• Lead the development and maintenance of an HCT Performance Management system
• Review, obtain necessary approvals and implement new benefit and compensation policies and processes for the HCT system
• Respond to employee relation’s issues with regards to employee grievances, regulation interpretation and terminations
• Provide advice and guidance to College Human Resources Officers, Supervisors and College Directors with regards to decision making and resolving employee relation’s issues
• Manage the contract administration function for the HCT system
• Interface and partner with IT to successfully test and implement automated solutions
• Act as leadership facilitator between IT, HR, and Finance on ERP issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce supplemented by courses in Human Resource Management and Information Technology (MBA with a specialization in HR preferred)
• Candidate with a recognized professional HR designation (CCP, CEBS, CHRP, IPD etc) highly preferred
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience (preferably in an expatriate environment) including direct experience in payroll processing, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and contract interpretation
• Should have 4 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably with an ERP system (PeopleSoft, Banner, Oracle 11i, SAP)
• Excellent skills in software applications, including the MS Office Suite particularly Excel, MS Query, MS Access, and applications for data management
• Superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation, team-building and leadership skills to work effectively in a dynamic, cross cultural environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Prior experience in an academic environment is a definite plus
