Job Description
Job Title : Senior Design Manager – Highways
Reporting to : Resident Manager
Location : Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Experience Required
: 15+ Years
Specific Duties : Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Work with the Highways Design Team in my clients office in Dubai, undertaking consultancy work for the design of civil projects.
• Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of all design aspects of projects, ensuring that the performance of the approved Consultants is in accordance with their respective Scope of Services and Conditions of Contract / Engagement.
• Co-ordinate and liaise as may be required with all relevant Local Authority Departments associated with the completion of the project and, as applicable, take direction from the Client in pursuance of the same.
• Manage and report to the Client and to the Resident Manager on all aspects of projects, including but not necessarily limited to:
Project progress against programme.
Design against required design criteria & standards.
Project costs against determined contract values.
Sub-consultants performance against Agreements
Project risk analysis throughout the duration of the design.
Contracts Review, Invoicing and Collection.
• Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of submittals, reviews and approvals against Contract Requirements and when applicable, report and advise on deviations from the same.
• Co-ordinate as may be required with the Client on all aspects related to the final acceptance of the design.
• Manage staff resourcing, project budgets and timelines.
• Assist my clients Management in the execution, pursuit, assessment and review of future opportunities for project work and Consultancy services in Dubai and in the United Arab Emirates in general.
