Group IT Manager
Our client are a leading Online Gaming Company with direct vision and strategic goals geared towards becoming market leader, they are looking for a Group IT Production Manager, managing all aspects of the IT production environment. This includes service desk, support, configuration management, user acceptance testing coordination, change and release management, and operational analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage physical environment for the Operations centre live service including ensuring adequate power, cooling, lighting and floor space available to ensure it is available, secure, safe and fit for purpose.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with Third Party contractors in order to ensure effective service provision.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with IT, business, and external entities in order to ensure effective change and configuration management
Produce detailed performance and service outage reports with regards to fault logging and rectification and maintain documentation and records to ensure quality, performance measurement and audit standards are maintained.
Provide and in-depth first line service providing analytical, diagnostic, technical support and fault rectification for reported system faults/ failure/ queries to maintain service availability and user satisfaction.
Ensure that all possible actions are taken to try and resolve reported faults utilizing software and hardware tools that are available to ensure continued service.
Responsible for managing the disaster recovery process, ensuring a well documented and understood procedure is maintained and understood by all relevant staff.
Ensure that faults are logged, progressed and escalated by Operators as required and in accordance within service level agreements to ensure maximum system availability and efficient problem resolution.
Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of the Change Advisory Board
Coordinate the implementation/continuous improvement of effective Change/Release management processes (including resource acquisition and management as appropriate and approved by executive management)
Coordinate the implementation/continuous improvement of effective user acceptance testing management processes (including resource acquisition and management as appropriate and approved by senior management)
Coordinate the implementation/continuous improvement of effective configuration management processes (including resource acquisition and management as appropriate and approved by senior management)
Coordinate the implementation/continuous improvement of an effective CMDB and Configuration Management process
Coordinate the implementation/continuous improvement of effective operational analysis and reporting processes
Produce and distribute management reports as per agreed SLAs
Take responsibility for development of staff, ensuring that the production team in has the right people with right skills and behaviors in order to deliver to the business strategy.
Responsible for the successful running of Service Desk functions (provide single point of contact solution to the business)
Succession Planning/2IC (absences and future-proofing)

Experience of managing a front line service delivery team supporting a live environment
Knowledge and experience of disaster recovery systems and processes
Data Centre Management experience – including knowledge of and experience relevant Data Centre standards and best practices
ITIL practitioner certified in problem management
ITIL practitioner certified in service level management
ITIL Service Management Manager’s Certificate
Prince2 certification
Proficient in SQL querying/reporting
