Position: Potable Water Design Engineer (Senior)
Reports to: Environmental Manager
Department: Environmental Location: Al Ain, UAE
Job Summary
This role will involve detailed design of water networks and transmission pipelines including Hydraulic Analysis for infrastructure projects. The role may also involve project management and the preparation of offers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work independently to produce designs and specifications as part of a project team working on potable water engineering projects.
Provide support to other project teams on more complex projects.
Direction of staff to finalise projects and assisting in the preparation of bids for clients.
Development of time and cost schedules for projects, required for bids for preliminary design, engineering design and detailed design of projects.
Deliver water network projects on time and within budget
Work may include field data collection, data reduction, alternatives analyses and support on preparation of reports and design documents
Provide Construction Management, site supervision and Operations Management on specific projects
Qualification
BS degree in Environmental or Civil engineering
Specific skills required
Previous demonstrable design capability on water projects: water supply networks, hydraulic analysis pumping mains and water reservoirs and pumping stations.
Experience in the design of water.
Ability to utilize water hydraulic design models and surge protection analysis

Ability to work un-supervised and lead teams.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Good communication skills in English (oral & written)
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in Project Management and water experience on infrastructure projects is essential. Experience in the Middle East and Proposal Preparation would be preferred.
