Descripción del empleo: Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the Project Task Force.
• Responsible to Company Management and the Client for all matters relating to the execution of his assigned Project and for ensuring that the Project is successfully completed in accordance with:


- The Contractual agreement
- The Project Execution Plan
- Company Procedures
- The Project Budget
- The Project Schedule
- Project Quality requirements
- HSE Policies and requirements

• Relationship with Client

Principal Duties

• Study project proposal, contract, client project specification and any other key documents and arrange for proper transfer of information to the Task Force.

• Prepare/issue a Quality Plan, Project Execution Plan and Job Instructions defining basis and lines along which the project shall be executed.

• Conduct a project kick-off meeting prior to starting the major production engineering to ensure proper understanding of the project requirements and to warrant a proper start of that project phase.

• Establish in conjunction with Department/Section managers staffing of the project organization and arrange adjustments as required and in-line with the various project phases. Approve staff assignments for the principal positions on the Task Force.

• Set up and maintain an appropriate project administration along company guidelines adapted as required to suit specific project requirements.

• Act as company representative vis-à-vis the c1ient(s) and promote good relations while guarding the company's interests and position. Arrange for efficient communications between client and the company to ensure a proper and timely exchange of information.

• Advise the key staff of the project organization on allotted man-hours and costs, as such delegating shared responsibility to disciplines for controlling
the project budget.

• Maintain Task Force Team spirit and motivation.

• Conduct project status review meetings, both internally (with the Task Force and with Company Management) and externally (with client) and ensure that established actions are carried out within the associated deadlines. Use control tools as referred to in the corresponding company procedures.

• Initiate, guide, review and approve schedules and estimates.

• Prepare/issue following reports:

- Monthly Progress Reports
- Monthly Cost Report
- Corporate management review reports as required
- Project Close-out Report


• Maintain a proper record on scope changes, review and approve change orders and negotiate with the client corresponding changes in contract price.

• Review and approve materials and services bid evaluations and attend negotiation meetings with potential sellers as required.

• Visit the site where the project is physically located and convene with client and/or own (e.g. construction) forces as required for a proper coordination of activities. Maintain harmonious relations with the local community at the site location.

• Review and approve the Construction Execution Plan and the Precommissioning/Commissioning/Start-up execution plan.

• Observe key contractual obligations such as announcements regarding:

- Ready for commissioning.
- Ready for test run.
- Request for plant acceptance.

• Review test run results and report prior to issue to client.

• Maintain the project files to ensure traceability of records, particularly those relating to contractual and technical matters.
