A global Oil & Gas Inspection firm with over 26,000 people working across 160 countries require experienced and ambitious professionals for established contracts covering offshore North Sea activity.
Accountabilities / Area of Activity:
Undertake activities as an Independent Competent Person undertaking technical reviews of Modifications to the Safety Critical elements of Offshore Installations. Assist in the selection of Change proposals to be verified. Assist in the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures. Participate in any reviews of the Verification Scheme for client and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis based on previous experience and qualifications. Specify the level of E&I discipline verification required on relevant Change Project’s and projects and produce relevant technical work-scope documents. Co-ordinate and prepare detailed budget cost / time / resource estimates for the Verification of major capital projects. Undertake technical reviews of E&I discipline design drawings calculations and other outputs of the design process. Undertake technical reviews at manufacturers and offshore installations for manufacturing, installation and testing surveys. Produce technical review / survey reports. Raise and manage technical findings and issue reports based on technical reviews. Attend technical review meetings with discipline engineers / project managers to discuss and resolve issues and findings raised as a result of reviews undertaken. Undertake project management activities including but not limited to: - budgetary control; technical review and survey co-ordination; progress monitoring control and reporting; organization and attendance at verification progress meetings; attendance at project progress / technical meetings as necessary. Review comment upon and countersign reports of junior technical staff. Provide mentoring of junior E & I discipline junior technical staff.
