Reporting to the General Manager: Finance, the main responsibilities would, inter alia, include -
• Monthly and yearend financial reporting and preparation of management accounts;
• Monthly consolidation and assisting with head-office reporting requirements;
• Annual preparation of budgets / forecasts and monthly reporting on variances;
• Maintenance of accounting systems and accounting practices;
• Monitoring compliance to internal controls;
• Vat reviews & returns;
• Review/authorization of creditors reconciliations and payments;
• Various other ad hoc accounting duties;
The successful incumbent should be in possession of the following:
• B. Comm. (Accountancy).
• 5 years related experience (articles will be an advantage).
• Computer literacy, with a sound knowledge of Accpac, is essential. Exposure to Microsoft Office is also recommended.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Namibian citizen.
The position is available immediately and the salary package will be negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
