Role Description:
Mechanical Design Draughtsman capable of developing basic system design to detail design for production and installation utilising 2D/3D CAD packages.
Responsibilities:
- Development of basic system design P&ID's to detail design in either a 2D or 3D environment iaw relevant specifications and design intent
- Development of 2D manufacture and installation drawings for use in a production environment iaw relevant specifications and design intent.
- Liasing with Professional Engineers in the production of system development.
- Production of technical documents and reports.
- On-site surveys in support of the development of detail system design.
- Production of material take-offs.
- Task Performance against budget and schedule and reporting progress to relevant leader/manager.
Key Attributes:
- Practical marine engineering system design experience.
- Appreciation of shipyard system production and installation processes.
- Ability to work effectivly in a team.
- Work off-site at client premises, both in the UK and overseas.
- Drive and commitment
- Good communication skills
Qualifications:
- Certificate and experience in relevant engineering field
