Our client is a leading logistics multinational rapidly expanding in the Asia region. They are seeking for an experienced senior manager to join them in Taiwan as a
General Manager – Logistics Operations
Responsibilities
• Reporting to the Managing Director, Taiwan
• Manage operations within agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer service. Deliver enhanced service levels at decreasing cost over time.
• Manage 6 operations managers covering 6 distribution centers with a total workforce of 500 staff
• Vendor / Supplier / Sub Contractor Management
• Develop a short and long term operations strategy
• Controlling day to day operating costs and maximizing through put and driving improved efficiencies.
• Monitor and analyze daily, weekly & monthly operational performance and performance reporting
• Ensure all SOP’s are reviewed on a rolling basis and SOP documentation reflects activity on the DC floor. Wherever possible, and at the appropriate time, integrate technology into the warehouse and SOP’s.
• Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• Based on daily operational flow and bottleneck analysis, give input and feedback on future warehouse design.
• Ensure all direct reports perform and have their performance reviews in accordance with their specified job description.
• Lead the operations planning process including budgeting, forecasting and capacity planning
• Lead and at the same time evaluate current operations staff. Identify training and mentoring programs for high potential staff and ensure effective succession planning is in place. |
| Habilidades: |
• Minimum, tertiary education in a management, operational, supply chain or logistics discipline
• Minimum 5-6 years of Management / Operational experience in a Business / Distribution Centre of significant size
• Strong experience in dealing with the customer and reporting on Distribution Centre Operations
• A sound knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, costing, tendering and cost analysis
• Communication and language skills (Mandarin, & English)
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to manage labor cost effectively to ensure maximum productivity
• Sound knowledge of corporate human resource guidelines and administration policies and procedures
• Understanding of all relevant local legislation in relation to EH&S
• Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and pro actively take corrective measures
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret KPI data
Additional Information:
• Based in Tao Yuan, Taiwan
• Extensive experience in all aspects of operational management
• Good project implementation capability in a 3PL environment.
