Senior Webmaster
We have an opening for a web subject matter expert to carry out webmaster functions and related web development duties. We are looking for a self starter who can demonstrate corporate maturity. The successful candidate will be working in "Portal Operations" a division of "Product".
Our offices are located in Gibraltar and our team members come from all around the world, creating a friendly, versatile, cosmopolitan and highly professional working environment.
Structure

Required skills and experience
• 5+ years of commercial experience in competitive web development environments
• In-depth experience managing UNIX/Linux and Windows web/application server environments
• Enthusiastic personality with strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Self motivated, proactive and assertive individual, with the ability to research, identify adequate solutions and manage own projects
• Ability to collaborate and perform as a team player
• Expert level experience of cross-platform migration and development issues
• Excellent problem solving skills and an ability to identify alternative development solutions
• Expert knowledge of internet script languages e.G., ASP.NET, JSP and PHP 4/5
• Commercial experience using J2EE development platform and related technologies
• Expert knowledge of T-SQL and experience working with RDBMS like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
• Expert knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript conforming to W3C standards
• Good understanding of XML, XSL and XSLT scripting generation, tools and parsing techniques
• Thorough understanding and experience of API's and SDK's
• Thorough understanding and experience of web services utilising XML
• Development experience with OO methodology and frameworks
• Good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques and related tools and technologies
• Source code repositories, SVN, CVS
• Ability to define process and procedures
• Awareness of Q&A & UAT cycles
• KPI identification and delivery
• Troubleshooting web production issues
• Candidates must be fluent in English
Desirable skills and experience
• University education
• Experience in online gaming industry not essential but very welcome
• Web 2.0 methodologies and technologies
• Familiarity with industry leading Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience using graphics editing tools by Adobe and (formerly) Macromedia
• Knowledge of website personalisation and geo-targeting tools
• Fluency, or at least good knowledge of a major European language (eg, Spanish/German/French)
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Leading search engine tools and API's
• Experience with Visual Sciences formally known as Web Side Story - HBX
• Experience with MCMS 2002
• Experience with OpenCMS
• Project Server 2007 (SharePoint)
• Experience in protocol analysis, using tools such as Wireshark (formally known as Ethereal) and Charles for HTTP
• Experience with OSI Reference Model and LAN & WAN networks
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
• Mission critical website maintenance, fine-tuning and performance monitoring
• Proactive and reactive content delivery
• Collaborative development and customisation of required web applications
• Functional updates, website management and improvements, including feature performance analysis
• Systems maintenance and administration including regular backups and scheduled updates
• Web log analysis with an ability to produce scheduled and non-scheduled reports
• Monitoring and maintenance of system database and web servers
