Our school is located in the cultural and hi-tech city of Daejeon (population 1.4 million) only 50 minutes away from Seoul on KTX. Daejeon has been described as the “Silicon Valley of Korea”. It is also near Yusong, which is a busy entertainment area with many nightclubs. Also, there is the refreshing Yusong Hot Springs. You can find all the amenities in Daejeon, such as movie theatres, restaurants, bars and shopping areas, without the congestion of Seoul.
Starting Date: late November arrival
Salary: 2.0-2.2 mill/month
Location: Daejeon
Students: 6-12 students per class
Schedule: Monday-Friday, up to 26 teaching hours a week
Housing: Rent-free single housing
Paid Vacations: 10 days + all Korean Nat’l holidays (12-14days)
Airfare: round trip provided
Medical Insurance: pay half
Severance: 1-month salary upon completion of 12-month contract
Pension Tax: 9% of total yearly income ($2300-2500) for citizens of US or Canada
