Operational Risk Executive - Business and Commercial Banking
Opportunity for experienced operational risk executive individual to join a bank which will facilitate you to build career in banking.
Our client one of the major banks is currently seeking an Operational Risk Executive in the Operational Risk division. If you wish to join a dynamic organisation where you will be valued and rewarded - monetarily and with career progression this is the opportunity for you.
Purpose of Role:
• Provide training and coaching to Managers and staff across Business & Commercial Banking to ensure adherence with policy & process controls, thereby enabling the business to achieve/exceed objectives for risk management, efficiency and operational issues.
• Testing of AYIC Control Framework to check adherence to policy and process controls.
• Sampling and testing of key controls in accordance with agreed plan to meet Sarbanes Oxley and Risk and Control Handbook objectives
• Agree effective action plans with managers to correct control deficiencies identified during testing.
• Provide assurance to Senior Management that effective & robust controls are in place in Business & Commercial Banking to enable Quarterly Self Certification Sign off.
• Complete rigorous sampling & testing of key controls in accordance with plan to meet Sarbanes Oxley and Risk Operational and control Handbook objectives.
• As required conduct investigations into cases of procedural breach or fraud within Business & Commercial Banking.
• Delivery of special projects, including audits for specific operational matters
Ideal candidate should have:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong demonstrable experience in Banking environment
• Ability & experience to provide strong levels of assurance based on robust testing, sampling and identification of emerging trends/ risks.
• Superb planning & organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
• Full driving Licence to drive in NI and RI (as appropriate)
