Senior Credit Analyst
My client is a one of the major banks in Ireland is currently looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to take part in participation in a team dealing with the control and sanction of borrowings across a full range of business sectors. This will incorporate evaluating and making recommendations on proposals. To ensure that adequate processes are in place to enable early identification of potential loss situations and involvement of LQE team at the earliest opportunity. To maintain technical and professional skills (including awareness of policy and procedures). Duties will also include sanctioning risk proposals within the jobholder’s personal discretion.
The Role specifically focuses on:
• Analyse and prepare sign off comments and make recommendations on lending applications received from Business Centre Units.
• Take personal responsibility for the sanctioning and control of borrowings within allocated discretion.
• Monitor and log identified poor credit risks to ensure a quality credit profile is maintained.
• Deal with early identification of potentially problematic accounts and ensure appropriate action plans fit for purpose are in position. Recommend timely migration to LQE unit if appropriate.
• Actively ensure accurate and complete administration records are maintained whilst adhering to key control procedures.
• Maintain a full understanding of current credit policy, unit credit assessment criteria, sector information, systems and procedures and credit grade allocation
Experience & Requirements:
• Previous experience of credit analysis and operational risk process knowledge
• Financial analysis and interpretation of accounts knowledge of Banking and Corporate Law
• Good knowledge of lending and security policies and sound practical experience of procedures coupled with a broad knowledge of Business Centre operations.
• Effective lending skills including sound judgement, good financial awareness and an ability to undertake assessment of diverse business credit proposals.
• Ability to make well-judged decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant factors.
• Clear sense of priorities to achieve quality results within set timescales.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
