We have the below mentioned opening with one of our client, kindly go through the Job Description.
The Mixed-Signal Hardware Design Engineer is expected to make a significant contribution to the circuit design, development and implementation of the NGP DSP module control and calibration hardware, as part of the ARTES4 Next Generation Processor (NGP Phase 2) programme, as well as to play a significant supporting role in the further development of appropriate mixed-signal converter components and circuits.
Scope of the Role
The proposed role of a Mixed-Signal Hardware Design Engineer is envisaged to provide additional expertise necessary to approach this development programme with increased confidence and with a better understood risk. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of a variety of module and system level delay measurement architectures available for deployment within complex systems, their associated development and deployment costs and the range of performances available in the context of a satellite-borne application. It is expected that the role holder shall influence deeply the realisation of suitably specified signal generating, filtering, coupling, splitting, multiplexing and converting circuits and infra-structure and to support these concepts with the relevant modelling, designs, validation and characterisation.
Requirements
Apart from a very mature leading and teaching attitude, the role requires demonstrable expertise in as many of the following technical topics as possible:
Product development technology leadership.
Space environment.
Circuit design (digital and analogue) up to 1 GHz.
Clock purity specifications in terms of phase-noise density, total integrated jitter and Allan variance.
High purity clock generation and distribution.
Signal generation via Direct Digital Synthesis.
Delta sigma modulation techniques for DACs.
Passive filtering, combining and splitting of signals.
Low noise multiplexing and amplification of signals.
Signal integrity for digital applications.
Advanced design processes including concurrent engineering using integrated EDA based design flows.
Technical management of subcontractor and vendor interfaces.
Design of test solutions across the complete product life-cycle.
Design and implementation of advanced logic, timing and mixed-signal measurement techniques.
Hands-on experience of Mentor Graphics digital and mixed-signal design capture and verification tool suites, Matlab and Mathcad.
Hands-on experience of Agilent s ADS RF EDA tool suite.
Core Discipline
The core discipline required is electronic engineering, mainly in its digital manifestation, but increasingly high-speed effects drive the design effort. Therefore as a minimum, a good appreciation of analogue design is also required.
Strong base of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals,
Knowledge & experience of digital circuit design including combinational, sequential, algorithmic, synchronous & asynchronous circuits.
Experience of timing regime design & trade-offs,
Experience of signalling regime design & trade-offs,
Experience with clock tree design & distribution,
Experience of constructing functional & timing verification simulations,
Experience of designing hardware support for structural testing of production hardware,
Knowledge & experience of analogue circuit design including high accuracy, low-noise, low-power amplification,
Experience of data conversion techniques, circuits, components,
Knowledge of sub-system integration issues,
Knowledge of PCB, MCM, BGA, CSP, ASIC packaging & substrate manufacturing processes,
Knowledge of a wide range of measurement techniques in the time, frequency, data, modulation domains (others),
Knowledge of a wide range of electronic design automation tools and processes, including: capture, verification and physical realisation of digital, analogue and mixed-signal circuits at various levels of packaging, i.E. ASIC, FPGA, PCB, MCM.

Thermal knowledge of thermal effects, modelling & tools,
Radiation knowledge of radiation effects, modelling & tools,
Product Cost sensitivity to overall non-recurring & recurring costs,
Project schedule sensitivity to resource implications of design courses of action.

Role: To understand, and Evaluate Customers BOM and notify back, Isuues related to components Engineering.
Minimum qualification : B.E / B.Tech / M.Sc : Electronics Engineering or ECE.
