Chief Operating Officer/[Vice President of Operations] – Costa Rica
Our client, one of the world’s largest online poker destinations are looking to recruit an experienced professional for the role of Chief Operating Officer for its Global Operations to join the team in Costa Rica. The Group has 5 offices internationally with approximately 500 employees in total. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Group’s CEO.
Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded and experienced performer with proven management, and leadership skills. The right candidate will have a successful proven track record in operations management ideally in the I-Gaming industry and should have the ability to work closely and influence an extremely diverse team from different functions without explicit reporting line authority. You will manage all operations and be responsible for improving operations across the region.
Responsibilities:
• Management of all operations – all customer facing business units, technology and poker room operations
• Liaising with the Chief Marketing Officer on all implementations on marketing programs
• Cross-functional coordination, alignment and prioritization
• Responsible for developing best practice processes and its implementation including organizational design and operations
• Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and identify
• Owner of new strategic initiatives impacting the region
• Overseeing functional activities, facilitates and resolve issues through effective problem solving and communication skills
• Liaising directly with the Global Technology Teams to drive technology innovations and development through operations to ensure that optimal work processes are used
• Responsible for pipeline planning and regular business reviews
• Develop, coordinate and maintain the strategic vision towards ensuring world class client service is delivered to our clients.
Requirements:
• Proven project management, leadership and influencing skills
• Experience in I-Gaming, internet or technology industries a plus.
• Strong commercial, technical skills and service orientation is required.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present business and technical issues, and negotiate effectively in a diplomatic manner.
• Time sensitive, detail orientated with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proven commercial communication, leadership and teamwork abilities.
• The willingness to travel internationally
Education and experience:
• Min 5+ years in online gaming Operations Management in senior roles.
• Strong project management skills
• In-depth understanding of marketing, customer service and technology area of large organizations
