Our requirements are flexible. We will select team members for complementary skills.
LOCATION: Antigua Guatemala an historic, sophisticated, small colonial town in Central America with nightlife and a mild climate (daily maximum temperatures: 18-26°C/65-79°F).
JOB: We are about to build a very large, multi-faceted, travel, business, and information site based on templates (my templates, not Dreamweaver templates).
I was an analyst/programmer, and have strong analysis skills. I have designed and programmed the database, forms, templates, and tools in MS Access. I eventually bumped up against the limitations of Access (and my limitations in Visual Basic), but it allowed me to produce the db, tools, etc. Exactly as I wanted them. We will probably transfer to PHP/MySQL.
I have spent many years developing this and solved or anticipated all problems. The job is very well-defined and well documented. Within those boundaries, you will have ample freedom. In consultation with the management team, you will decide how and provide timelines.
1. Clean up forms and database
2. Program the Web Page templates
3. Design the Website (developing an image for each of its 5 faces)
Later
4. Develop an innovative, online travel reservation tool according to my instructions
Useful Additional Skills (not essential): Our decision may take into account complementary skills so tell us of any other expertise you have. If you have experience in any of the following, please mention:
1. Setting up and maintaining simple networks
2. Graphic design
3. Mapmaking
4. Photo editing
5. Photography (expert not point & shoot)
Remuneration: $1,000 p/m. The low salary is very adequate, because the cost of living is even lower). Room and full board
Lifestyle: Travel to tourist attractions within Guatemala. Our ultimate aim is to launch in the USA, but we will perfect the templates in the region. So along the way, the project will move to
1. Belize
2. Cancún & the Yucatán
3. The Caribbean
And you will also be given the optional opportunity to move.
Future Remuneration: In two years there will be:

Conditions: 12-month minimum commitment

The current team members have a multiple skills in: Management, Travel & Tourism, Writing & Editing, Analysis, and Programming
The team will grow as and when required.
Projected Start Date: March 2008. My investors have requested names and details of tech staff.
