Our client, a prestigious ship management company in Dubai is seeking a high caliber
Chief Accountant
Reporting to the VP- Services & Support, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of company house and ship management accounts, namely:
1. Approval of client invoices for management fees and other services.
2. Review of the staff payroll, payments for company overhead invoices, operating cost statements, and all payment packages before sending to the cheques’ signing authority.
3. Preparation and review of the annual budgets, company’s house accounts for submission to the President (quarterly), and company’s annual statutory accounts,
4. Liaison with auditors and agreement of taxation liabilities, with banks, and with Systems Administrator concerning maintenance and development of finance-related computer systems.
5. Coordination of the work of the Accounts Supervisor and Ship Accountants, as well as the annual independent audit including preparation of financial statements.
6. Maintenance of pertinent records and ensure adequate treatment of fixed asset acquisitions
