Planning and Procurement Manager, Service
Reporting To: Senior Manager, Service Operations
Objectives
• Re-engineer service materials supply-chain & organization to meet service targets and to support business growth throughout Asia-Pacific.
• Develop and implement an Inventory Management model.
• Reduce spend.
• Streamline the Planning & Procurement process and develop SOPs to achieve work efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Develop knowledge base and documentation in Planning and Procurement based on SAP and APO.
• Operational compliance to global processes.
• Develop forecasting and measurement of forecast accuracy.
• Develop in-region repair with suppliers.
• Maximize inventory turns; reduce New Buy by maximizing Repairs.
Responsibilities
1. Manage Buyer & Planner performance to achieve daily target fill rate, minimize backlog and expedite backlog recovery.
2. Ensure supplier performance process is implemented across all vendors.
3. Maintain data integrity and system settings. Create reports and monitor Planning & Procurement data to drive up data Integrity across SAP, RFA and other critical system.
4. Implement Inventory Management procedures and recommend obsolete and excess inventory for disposition.
5. Manage day-to-day operations and put in place SOPs for the materials team.
6. Develop, automate and analyze metrics and operational reporting for Inventory & Excess, Repair Cycle Time, Backlog Status and Production Order for management review.
7. Communicate Daily Backlog status report and recovery plan for Depot, Retails and Service Channel operations to the business unit’s Organization.
8. Optimize planning processes, measure forecasting accuracy, minimizing variances, review safety stock and cautionary parts.
9. Communicate status of material availability by commodity/ region to internal departments and customers as required.
10. Develop plans and initiate projects to meet the changing needs and growth of the business to ensure scalability and sustainability.
11. Enable Process Mapping in place for all aspects of Internal Supply chain.
12. Manage & coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) in region, NPI Readiness including Master Data Setup, Initial Forecast Validation and Inventory Availability by First Customer Ship.
13. Generate, prioritize and expedite pack plan and production orders, manage inter-company stock transfers and goods receipt, resolving discrepancies, to maintain required safety stocks.
14. Manage procurement and repair activities, validating pricing and payment requirements.
15. Responsible for inventory accuracy, physical reconciliation and drive towards optimum inventory entitlement.
16. Establish Weeks of Supply Planning methodology, preparing and analyzing weekly Demand-Supply outlook.
17. Manage parts repair turnaround by expediting and streamlining repair cycle and drive parts return from channel.
18. Work with Global Materials and Engineering for material changes and supply availability. |
| Habilidades: |
• 10+ years in Planning and Procurement role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Posses a tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
• Experience in Reverse Logistics or Service Parts industry is preferable.
• Ability to bring about continuous improvements in processes and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and improve the performance of a diverse team.
• Able to remain focused and work under pressure, prioritize competing demands and deadlines whilst multi-tasking.
• Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and problem solving skills in a changing, dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently with regional and global teams to deliver results.
• Able to communicate well in English and work effectively across various functions (Purchasing, Quality Engineers, Finance & Logistics) and at all.
• Meticulous with a strong business acumen and customer satisfaction focus.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP (in particular R3 MM/PP as well as APO) and Excel is preferred. |
