Duties and Responsibilities:
To diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to Sun Hardware and Solaris Operating System.
To automate jobs using standard Shell Scripts.
To configure volumes using Veritas, Volume Manager and automate backup using Solstice Backup and Veritas Netbackup.
Good working knowledge of SAN and NAS architectures.
Well versed with performance analysis and troubleshooting potential bottlenecks in the system.
To secure Solaris Operating System.
To monitor system performance and backups at regular intervals.
To provide basic application level troubleshooting and support.
To provide support for high end Sun servers and cluster environment.

University Degree or Diploma in IT / Computer Science and preferably Sun Certified Administrator.
