An Integration Architect is responsible for assuring the company's customers receive maximum value of the Next Generation OSS (NGOSS) solutions they purchase, specifically by integration several of the company's products together or by integrating their product with external systems. He/She needs to be experienced in managing and scoping customer requirements, designing a solution based on the requirements, configuring/implementing the solution and validating the solution with the end-users.
THE ROLE
To act as an Integration Architect to clients and partners with specific skills covering the following areas:
• The Design and Architecture of NGOSS solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver business benefits. These solutions deal with the major business processes used to manage the overall enterprise.
• Identify and understand the integration points of the solution.
• Responsible for the technical correctness and completeness of integrated system designs. The Integration Architect may be required to assist in problem determination and resolution, documentation of the solution specifically to the customer, installation and/or development of software, migration of legacy data to the new system and general support to the customer.
• Capture requirements during the pre-sales stage and interpret technical requirements and business needs into an NGOSS solution.
• Proactively support the project manager in the flawless execution of the project by identifying and leading the mitigation of any technical gaps and/or risks.
• Be clearly identified as the senior technical lead on an assigned project – provide technical direction and mentoring for all project resources.
• Be a contributor to the creation of best practices through the identification of reusable project-level assets.
• Act as a feedback mechanism to the product management and development teams on features and functionalities; build strong and well respected relationships with peer levels in these groups.
• Keep abreast of new developments in the industry and gain an understanding on how new and emerging technologies are being deployed by the carriers. Utilise this knowledge to advance the company's solutions and assist their customers and partners.
• Assist the company support organizations in troubleshooting and resolving product, configuration and environment issues.
THE PERSON
• Customer facing professional able to discuss at all levels the technical complexities and benefits of the company's NGOSS product set
• Develop deep and respected relationships with customers, partners and staff
• Be flexible when working with customers and partners; demonstrate a “can do” and “must win” attitude in finding not only technical solutions to customer requirements but in a budget-constrained commercial situation
• Prepared to undertake challenging assignments away from home and work independently on-site with the customer and/or partner
• Support the wider Solution Delivery team in providing skills mentoring and education to others
• Willingness to travel at least 50% time, or as job requires, depending on work within project lifecycle.
• Strong leadership and communications skills are essential.

| Habilidades: |
Knowledge & Skills
• More than 6 years experience as a technical member of a project or team, ideally working as an architect.
• Previous experience working in the telecommunications sector.
• Knowledge or experience of telecoms technologies or processes. • Demonstrable experience in integrating telecom systems via EAI / ESB and via adapter development.
• Fluent in English and at least one other European language (preferably Spanish), other languages would be an added advantage.
• Deep software development knowledge in Java and preferable .Net (c++, C# or Visual Basic) and SOA.
• Advanced Unix and database (Oracle) skills.
Desirable
Oss experience in network inventory, activation and reconciliation.
Experience with TL1, SNMP, CORBA, EJBs, MDBs and Web Services. |
