Currently the largest transportation project in Africa to date.
The Gautrain project is a multi billion development which represents one of the most exciting Private Partnership projects worldwide. Exposure to this project presents a unique opportunity and challenge to practitioners within all the disciplines.
The civil works have been split into the geographical zones North and South. Line responsibility for procurement of contracts is separated for the two areas.
This is an extremely exciting project scheduled for practical completion mid 2010. Tenure for work beyond could possibly be secured by integration back into the Murray and Roberts Group.
The success of meeting the scheduled contractual dates depends on many factors, certainly the success and efficiency of the procurements of contracts is very strategic in this regard.

Dealing with claims in regards to sub-contractors / general suppliers.
Involved in tender awarding
Must have Civils related expereience (10+ years)
Must have FIDIC (8+ years)
Excellent English
