| Descipción del Empleo: |
-Review supplier documents, scope books, specifications, engineering guides and standards, etc. during the piping design of infrastructure development work.
-Review/prepare plant pre-commissioning checklists of equipment and systems.
-Accept technical and administrative direction from the group supervisor during the preparation of piping designs.
-Interface with GAEU stress analysis, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc.
-Prepare and check piping designs and consider base of construction and consider total installed cost.
-Coordinate and visit jobsite as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
-Maintain up-to-date skills in computer applications to design work and insure that maximum use is made thereof.
-Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by A/E engineers or suppliers.
-Assist in on-the-job training of people assigned.
-Knowledge mathematical formulae and design calculations used in the discipline
-Knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with total design effort. |
| Habilidades: |
-College graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
-Substantial experience in the design of rotating equipment, piping, HVAC, valves, pressure vessels and fire protection systems.
-Suitable experience in field construction and inspection.
-Sufficient knowledge in computer codes for analysis and design of HVAC and water pipe networks.
-Knowledge in Codes and Standards such as ANSI, ASME, AWWA & API.
