Role:
Provide world class service. Discuss account options and cross sell credit union products and services at each opportunity. Open new accounts, certificates, IRAs, process and deliver installment loans, open-end loans, and second mortgages.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
70% Identifies cross sell opportunities and cross-sells all C.U. Products and services, including account related products such as, but not limited to, credit life, credit disability, MBI, GAP, AD&D, etc. Perform necessary file maintenance to set up accounts and services.
10% Assist members and potential members with loan requests, take loan applications, process loan documents for in-person closing or shipment via mail, including preparation of loan records and data set up on computer system. Review any conditions required for loan approval with member and obtain necessary documentation. Forward exceptions to a Loan Officer if automatic system approval is not received. Follow up on unclosed member loans that cannot be completed at initial meeting. Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Collect and forward taxes on all vehicle loans.
10% Assists members with opening and closing savings, checking, certificates, IRAs and other depository service accounts (limited cash handling). Perform necessary file maintenance to set up accounts and services.
5% Set up and input file maintenance for check orders, payroll deduction, automatic transfers and ACH origination.
5% Monitors lobby activity to ensure prompt, professional service. Performs all duties within procedures, policies, and SCCU's Universal Performance Standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Expectations:
1. To respond to all correspondence, telephone messages, emails and other requests in the same day received.
2. To provide exceptional service to all members and potential members with accuracy, courtesy, friendliness, timeliness and in a professional manner.
3. Ancillary product and service penetration of x% of total loans you originate minimum monthly.
4. Avg. Household account penetration for each member contact of x% of total dept/div minimum monthly/qtrly.
5. Deposit product and service penetration of x% of total new accounts you originate minimum monthly.
6. Loan product penetraton of x% of total department/division loan goal minimum monthly.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills: Exceptional sales skills
Able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer/keyboard.
