Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide responsive, timely support to all end-user questions and support requests. Answer the support help line, resolve the problem, document in a resource database and ensure follow-through if the call is passed to another person. Maintain service level agreements on response turnaround. Set end-user expectations for resolution time and communicate changes in status as necessary.
· Work closely with other IT staff to insure clear communication on outstanding issues and user problems. Work as a team to distribute outstanding support problems and/or requests to even workload, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
· Desktop support of all Company standard applications including but not limited to Windows 98/2000/XP, Office 97/2000/XP,associated applications, Norton Antivirus, Outlook and communication applications.
· Work directly with Server/Infrastructure support team to resolve difficult problems including LAN, WAN, and special application issues.
· Perform installation, configuration and upgrades of desktop hardware and software as determined by office and Firm established procedures.
· Responsible for all office peripheral equipment and its proper maintenance including printers, phones and audiovisual equipment.
· Responsible for insuring that the hardware inventory is up-to-date and accurate. Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels for new hires, replacement of frequently needed parts and redundancy factors and communicating low inventory levels.
· Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT procedures, system configuration standards, maintenance and upgrades.

Knowledge Areas:
· Candidate needs to have strong interpersonal communication organizational and technical skills to include a high understanding of customer service.
· Must be able to work flexible hours to include on-call support.
· Must be able to work independently in high-paced environment and exhibit strong written and verbal communications skills.
Technical / Communication Skills:
· Hardware troubleshooting/repair experience (PC's, Laptops, Printers, other peripherals)
· Client email support (Outlook, Exchange Server)
· Software support (MS Office, Internet, Norton Antivirus, PC Anywhere)
· Remote user support (modem/dialup, VPN, Wireless)
· NT Experience (User account creation/management, permissions, security)
· Remote and wide-area software deployment
· Desirable for the candidate to have working knowledge of SAP installation and configuration
Experience:
· 2 or 4 year degree in Information Technology of equivalent discipline.
· Must have 2+ years support experience in a corporate environment.
· Must be bilingual in Japanese and English
