Key Accountabilities
1. Defines, develops, controls and monitors Quality and practices within Client . Monitors and controls policies and procedures necessary to ensure effective Quality for all Client activities in compliance with UAE GCAA regulations, and other relevant authorities as appropriate.
2. Establishes and develops an independent Quality system to monitor compliance with GCAA requirements and maintains a close liaison with the GCAA. Obtains GCAA approvals for documents.
3. Implements a Quality Audit programme in which compliance with flight operations & maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each type of aircraft operating for Aerovista. Non-compliance or poor standards that are observed are brought to the attention of the line manager concerned, a time scale set for remedial action and a report compiled and filed. Senior management and other interested agencies to be notified in accordance with the nature and seriousness of the non-compliance.
4. Approves suppliers of new and used components, materials and equipment for satisfactory product quality.
5. Monitors and analyses reliability reports in respect of both aircraft and components provided by suppliers, MRO or any other agent.
6. Analyses defects observed in aircraft undergoing maintenance so as to ensure that appropriate and timely remedial action is taken, followed-up and reported through to satisfactory completion.
7. Ensures the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance & flight Operation activities by establishing a programme of training and continuation training which will include tests set to a high standard. Training may consist of:
• Internal and external courses
• On-the-job instruction and validation
• Examination and testing
8. Ensures that technical training meets the standards required by certifying authorities and is appropriate to the needs of the Company. Records the training, experience, qualifications and standards achieved by maintenance related personnel.
9. Controls certification authority privileges granted to individuals within client.
10. Ensures the timely renewal of certificates, controlling the documentation process in cooperation with relevant departments.
11. Maintains a record of amendments of Manuals. Monitors distribution, amendment and availability of essential controlled documents.
12. Establishes a system for the control of accountable documents [e.g. in accordance with ISO9000 standards].
13. Co-ordinate with GCAA and relevant department to maintain AOC as per required standard.
Key Performance Measures
• The provision of Quality and Safety policies and procedures.
• The comprehensiveness, accuracy, amendment and compliance with by maintenance staff of relevant sections and appendices of essential Manuals in accordance with Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Qualifications and Experience: Essential – An aircraft engineering degree or HND from a recognised university or engineering college. 8 or more years working in the aviation industry. Possesses appropriate knowledge of the legal requirements of the GCAA. Professional membership of associations related to the aircraft industry and/or Quality Assurance [e.g. ISO Lead Assessor] would be an advantage. Training as an ISO9000 Lead Assessor would be an advantage.

Good command of the English language, both oral and written
