The role covers design work, planning and troubleshooting studies, and operations support in all aspects of production chemistry and flow assurance (e.g. phase separation, scale, corrosion, hydrates, wax, asphaltene) ranging from the reservoir to well, flowline, and topsides to export.
Good understanding and appreciation of the technical basis of these aspects is essential along with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively in written and verbal contacts with colleagues and a wide range of industry clients. The ability to make effective practical recommendations is important and experience of oilfield operations is an advantage. Good team working skills are required to contribute to multidisciplinary teams both in-house and with clients.
A degree or MSc in chemistry or chemical engineering and a track record which demonstrates delivery, creativity, initiative and analytical / interpretative skills is essential.
