| Descipción del Empleo: |
*Accountant II maintains/oversees accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income. Examines assigned accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures and acceptable accounting standards. Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and other accounting statements and reports. May design, modify, install and/or maintain general accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities and financial statements.
*Extract standard information out of non-standard lease documents in order to set up or adjust rent payment and GAAP accounting schedules in Harbor Flex.
*Review CPI error reports, rent increase reports, AP pre-edits, rent rolls and other internal reports on a regular basis (as defined by internal policy) to ensure that all rent payments commence and are paid accurately and timely for your assigned Region(s).
*Calculate and enter CPI increases into Harbor Flex. Ensure that CPI increases are timely and accurate.
*Update Harbor Flex to reflect all lease terminations. Ensure that payments stop as required and that GAAP schedules are updated to properly record the termination
( process definition pending).
*Report any landlord duplicate payments, upon discovery, and work with Property Services to determine the method for recovery. Ensure that all overpayments are recovered per the method determined.
*Enter refund checks into Harbor Flex, code, and mail to Treasury for deposit.
*Work with Property Services and Accounts Payable to facilitate any required stop pays, voids or re-issues. Enter into Harbor Flex manually or is there a feed???
*Support requests from Property Services regarding MLA (master lease) reconciliations.
*Enter Property Services provided utility, property tax and one-time fee invoices into Harbor Flex and ensure proper payment via Accounts Payable.
*Assist Property Services with resolving default situations as needed.
