The person hired for this position will start out in Inside Sales and transition to the Application Engineering position. Both job descriptions are listed below:
1) Inside Sales:
Job Summary:
Performs activities to assist with sales of JM Canty Inc. products.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1)Trains and aids in issuing/developing quotations for custom product offerings/deliveries and RMA’s (Reference Material Authorizations)
2) Logs sales leads into Contact database, e-mails representative contact info
3) Provides feedback to JM Canty on general sales/support efforts
4) Supports literature and marketing efforts in conjunction with outside sales staff
5) Answers questions and provides technical support for all Canty products with representatives
7) Improves communication between Canty and reps/customers to improve service
9) Provides support information to Representatives and Customers as required
10) Coordinates incoming sales calls and directs customer calls to appropriate Sales Representatives
11) Coordinates factory school, during which Canty Sales Representatives are on site to learn about Canty products.
Minimum Qualifications:
-2 yr Engineering/Technical degree preferred or in-house equivalent experience
-PC experience
2) Application Engineer:
Job Summary:
Performs activities to assist with use and sale of JM Canty, Inc products.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1)Performs own lab work and conducts sample testing and analysis using Canty systems
2)Attends trade shows to demonstrate company products and network with potential customers
3)Coordinates and analyzes customer needs with products
4)Visits customers/sales representatives in the field, demonstrating use of products and providing customer support
5)Visits customers/sales representatives for on site start-ups of Canty products
6)Provides input to Inside Sales for formal quotations
7)Develops marketing plans/trade show schedules
8)Attends seminars for training/sales
9)Maintains customer list/database
10)Some travel required -schedules own travel
Minimum Qualifications:
-4 year Chemistry/Biology/Engineering/Technical degree strongly preferred or 3-5 years in house product experience
-PC experience
-Electronic, IT background a plus
