Projects Director – Construction
Our client, a prestigious private entity is one of UAE’s leading civil engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies. Pivotal to its on going success is the recruitment of Project Directors to manage their mega projects from concept design, execution upto completion.
Reporting to the GM Construction Group, you will be responsible for the overall project management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of the project in accordance with client requirements, organizational policies/ procedures, contract specifications, and time and cost specifications. To this end, you will establish and implement project plans, manage project budgets and resources, enforce project standards, forecast revenues and profitability, and manage all quality assurance aspects and change control processes. As such, you will identify project barriers and recommend risk mitigation techniques, induct technical reviews, manage team allocation, mobilize qualified personnel for specified tasks, and prepare monthly progress reports.
This senior role requires someone with first-rate project management and leadership skills. You must be a Civil Engineering graduate, preferably with a master’s degree. A minimum of 15 years hands-on technical expertise and proven ability of managing mega projects in civil engineering, building and infrastructure, especially large shopping malls. An analytical decision maker, you must also have solid technical orientation, commercial acumen, excellent project & time management skills, strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to perform well under pressure. You must be a native English speaker, US/ UK/ Canada/ Australia-educated, with international work experience, Architecture background and exposure to Quality Management and HSE.
