About The Organization
The financial institution is one of the largest in Saudi Arabia, with total assets of US$ 40 billion. The institution provides a full range of banking services for Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Private Banking Customers, Finance & Equity Advisory, Consumer Finance and Financial Services and Treasury Products.
Job Description
Presently, Financial Control is developing an in-house state-of-the art MIS, budgeting & forecasting and Financial Reporting system. This requires documenting user requirements, conducting user acceptance tests, parallel run and live production. This is a significant project requiring, a good understanding of MIS and profitability reporting, business analytical & IT skills.
The candidate should be capable of being an active and valuable contributor in the development of this project specifically from the UAT planning stage through live implementation and thereafter. Ability to train users and in-house staff, understand business dynamics to develop meaningful MIS on an ongoing basis, maintain system and process integrity.
Principal Responsibilities
• Help business users develop retrievals to extract data from the data mart using Cognos, Business Objects and similar retrieval tools.
• Design, Develop & Maintain Cognos Cubes. Review the business requirements on an ongoing basis and update the Cube designs accordingly.
• Perform day-to-day Admin task on Cognos and FRAS.
• Monitor Business issues highlighted in Database Patrol and coordinate with the relevant FCPG/Business users to resolve them.
• Manage the Month-end and Year-end processes on FRAS.
• Enhance use of technology and identify opportunities to automate processes. Liaise with Group’s Technology coordinator to upgrade systems
• Provide a bridge between User and IT departments (User Coordinator role)
• Reporting initially to the User Project Manager for the duration of the project and then to the MIS Unit Head.
• Train users to become proficient in System and use of Access & Excel (macros).
Academic Qualification
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
• IT education acceptable provided candidate has a solid experience in finance and accounting systems.
Experience
• Should have experience of working in a financial institution in similar position
• Should have an overall knowledge of banking operations and products.
• Proficient in written & spoken English.
• Proficient in SQL Language.
• Proficient in usage and design of OLAP cubes
• Proficient in use of software packages likes MS Office (knowledge of macros will be added advantage) & MS Project
• Knowledge and understanding of bank’s MIS systems is preferable.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
