The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is the liaison between the company and the operators in the Region. The RMM’s focus is on brand growth within the territory. This begins with a proper positioning of the brand and then guiding and supporting the franchise operators’ growth within the territory. The role is often consultative in nature working with assigned franchise operators to maximize market share and profitability so growth can be sustained. RMM ensures the company’s concept integrity and manages a healthy, objective relationship for the company and the operators.
Primary Duties include but are not limited to:
Lead and monitor use of trademarks.
Protect and promote the company’s Brand.
Communicate new Graphic Guidelines and drive implementation.
Ensure that established processes, plans and strategies are communicated, understood and followed by key stakeholders
Enhance brand awareness.
Be an expert in the market, understand the consumer, competition, QSR industry and the Brand’s industry.
Manage the existing regional marketing co-op/strategic alliances as well as establishing additional co-ops as geographic expansion requires.
Work closely with and supervise the company’s designated Advertising Agency and ensure advertising agencies present marketing tactics that align with the company’s Brand and accomplish sales growth.
Address market differences and provide recommendations for positioning, Marketing /Brand Image initiatives, new product development, value messaging and competitive differentiation. Determine applicability of US strategies/tactics to select market, ensure maximum and beneficial alignment of Region/US marketing initiatives.
Conduct store audits as it relates to new products, price changes, promotional activities and POPs.
Communicate regularly with local operators to determine marketing needs and to maximize execution of marketing initiatives at store level.
Develop and execute marketing programs to meet sales and Franchise Operator profit goals.
Propose and present Regional marketing strategies and tactics.
Consults with operators to shape marketing strategies and work with DIM&M for assistance.
Collate market and product performance data to help identify opportunities and challenges to build sales and profit.
Assist operators in developing market-appropriate menu/products, pricing recommendations and competitive analysis.
Work with DIM&M to address store needs and sales goals.
Share results for market research and other data to support effectiveness of proposed initiatives.
Lead the effort to collect real-time sales information from operator partners.
Serve as the brand ambassador within the region through building strong partnerships with the media, businesses and local community.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
Three to five years of prior branded fast-food marketing experience.
Agency experience with fast-food restaurant. Consultative client management experience.
Has demonstrated an ability to plan and execute a promotional calendar within a franchised fast-food chain. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or business or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in Quick/Casual Food Service sector or with multi-location retailer.
Prior experience working w/franchisees. Fully competent Marketing and PR skills and knowledge including understanding of advertising, merchandising, media and agencies.
