A leading 5 Star deluxe International Hotel Chain is looking for a Security Manager to join their team in the Maldives.
Responsible for the coordination, planning, organization, maintenance and supervision of all aspects of operation in the Resort’s Security Department for the security and safety of its property, employees and guests; Be well versed with Chain’s pre-opening processes and focus on planning for a smooth opening by ensuring all policies and procedures are implemented to ensure security and safety in the resort.
On a periodic basis and upon instruction of the GM/RM, coordinates with external specialist in analyzing the Resort’s safety and security risks, and in developing the appropriate policies and procedures , To ensure proper handling of lost items and theft issues in the resort and develops strategies to best apprehend theft and losses; Trains and educate staff on safety and security from time to time; Monitors the performance of Security staff and communicates this to each staff on a regular basis, or through counseling and motivation; Attends to guest complaints immediately and initiates/coordinates immediate resolution; Maintains good relations with the resort security agency and actively networks with police and other related government agencies; Take ownership of resort areas/equipments and ensure that all are maintained up to the best possible standards at all times; Models the practice of the guiding principles and encourages all security staff to use the same in day to day interaction; Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleagues.
Proven track record in the Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc); Must have the experience and the proven ability working within a multicultural environment; Experience as Security Manager with an international chain is an advantage; Prior experience of having worked in a pre-opening of a Five-star hotel/resort in an island scenario is a plus; Basic computer (MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook); People management skills and ability to guide, motivate staff and develop competency of team; Good communication skills in English language (spoken & written); Excellent interpersonal skills; Single status preferred.
Remuneration: Package based on experience & background.
